Numerical analysis of gray gas radiation effects on heat and mass transfer in an annular cavity

چکیده

This study deals with a numerical investigation of coupled double diffusive natural convection thermal radiation in an annular cavity containing gray gas mixture. The black vertical cylindrical walls are maintained at different temperatures and concentrations to create cooperating flows. finite volume method (using the SIMPLER algorithm) is used solve governing equations discrete ordinate (with S8 quadrature) treat radiative aspect problem. A parametric illustrating influence optical thickness ratio buoyancy forces, on flow field heat mass transfer for Reyleigh number equal 5 106 1, performed. results show that modifies structure distribution temperature concentration cavity. effect permutation boundary conditions, between walls, also considered. reduces total space regardless configuration conditions.
